Award Ceremony
On 25 January 2024, the 33rd Pfizer Research Award Ceremony took place as a live event at METROPOL in Zurich.

The Pfizer Research Prize has been awarded annually since 1992 and is one of the most important medical research prizes in Switzerland. It is awarded to young scientists who have made outstanding and pioneering contributions to basic or clinical research at Swiss research institutes or hospitals. To date, 438 young scientists have been honored with the award and a prize money of over 6.8 million Swiss francs. With this long-term commitment, the Pfizer Research Prize Foundation continuously supports medical research by young scientists in Switzerland.
Medical Fields
The Pfizer Research Prize is awarded at the request of independent scientific committees in the following five categories:
Cardiovascular Medicine, Urology and Nephrology
Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology and Immunology
Neuroscience and Neurology
Oncology
Pediatrics
Award
One basic research paper and one clinical research paper can be awarded per category. The prize amounts to 15,000 Swiss francs per award.
